Duty of care
Our commitment to students transitioning overseas
AM EDU Resources upholds a duty of care to every student we place. For students moving to Australia, that means clear pre-departure orientation, transparent accommodation guidance, fair workplace learning terms, and a real person to contact when something goes wrong.
This isn’t a marketing promise; it’s a standard written into Section 3 of our Compliance Code. Where a student’s welfare or safety is at risk, we act — including withdrawing a student from a placement or escalating to their provider.
- Support that continues after the visa is granted
- Accommodation guidance with no undisclosed commissions
- A confidential channel for welfare and workplace concerns
- Protection against retaliation for anyone who raises one

Start to finish
Support at every stage
Seven stages, from your first enquiry to the end of your program.
1
Pre-application
Free consultation, honest eligibility screening, and a written breakdown of total costs — tuition, living expenses, insurance, travel and our fees — before you commit to anything.
2
Application
Document checklist, completeness and consistency checks, submission and progress updates. We tell you where an application is weak rather than letting you find out from a refusal.
3
Offer
We go through your offer letter line by line — conditions, deadlines, refund terms — before you accept, so you understand what you are agreeing to.
4
Visa preparation
Confirmation of enrolment, health cover, financial evidence and a complete, truthful application. Plus a clear explanation of your visa conditions and your obligations under them.
5
Pre-departure orientation
A structured briefing before you fly: accommodation, travel, insurance, banking, connectivity, budgeting, cultural adjustment, work conditions and emergency contacts.
6
Arrival & settling in
Arrival planning, first-week guidance, and a contact point while you find your feet — enrolment confirmation, accommodation issues, or anything that isn’t as expected.
7
Ongoing & completion
Continued contact through your program, support during any Work-Based Learning placement, and a confidential channel for academic, welfare or workplace concerns.

THE JOURNEY
What the first few weeks actually look like
The gap between an offer letter and a settled first month is where most of the difficulty sits. Enrolment, the shared spaces and the first classes are where a new student spends those weeks, and where we make sure someone is with you.

Accommodation
Guidance, not a booking business
We help you understand your accommodation options — on-campus, purpose-built student housing, share housing and homestay — including realistic costs, what a lease commits you to, how bonds work, and which arrangements are risky for a new arrival.
An important distinction: we provide guidance, not a booking service, and we do not take undisclosed commissions from accommodation providers. If any arrangement would earn us a fee, that is disclosed to you in writing under our transparent fee obligations.
Our Code prohibits us from steering you toward an option because it pays us. We’d rather you ended up somewhere that suits you.
What we walk you through
- Realistic monthly cost by city and housing type
- Distance, transport cost and commute time to campus
- Lease length, bond, notice periods and what you’re liable for
- Common rental scams targeting international students
- Why to avoid committing long-term before you arrive
- Inspection, condition reports and getting your bond back
Health & emergencies
Insurance, healthcare and who to call
🏥
Health cover
Overseas Student Health Cover is mandatory for the full duration of an Australian student visa. We explain what your policy covers, what it doesn’t, and how to make a claim before you need to.
🚨
Emergencies in Australia
Police, fire and ambulance in Australia are reached on 000. We cover when to use it, what to say, and what happens next during your pre-departure briefing.
📞
Your contact list
Before you fly, you receive a written contact sheet: your provider’s student services, your AM EDU Resources contact, our compliance channel, and the emergency and consular numbers relevant to your destination.
Speak up
Feedback, complaints and concerns
If something isn’t right — with us, with your placement, or with an institution we referred you to — we want to know while it can still be fixed.
How to raise something
Contact Management directly at compliance@ameduresources.com.my, or through your usual AM EDU Resources advisor if you prefer. Include what happened, when, and who was involved if you’re comfortable doing so.
You are protected from retaliation
AM EDU Resources guarantees strict confidentiality and protection against dismissal, demotion or harassment for any individual reporting suspected misconduct in good faith. This applies to students, employees and partners alike.
Raising a concern will not affect your application, your placement, your assessment or your standing with us. Anyone who retaliates against a person for reporting in good faith is themselves in breach of our Code and subject to disciplinary action.
Matters you should raise immediately:
- An unsafe workplace, absent supervision, or placement terms that don’t match what was agreed in writing
- Any request for an unofficial payment, “facilitation fee” or cash payment outside your written fee schedule
- Any representative guaranteeing you admission, a visa, work rights or permanent residency
- Any suggestion that you provide false documentation or misrepresent your circumstances
- Misuse of your personal data, passport copies or financial records
- Accommodation or welfare situations that put your safety at risk
