Study in Australia — planned properly, applied honestly.

Course selection, application, visa preparation and pre-departure support, aligned to Department of Home Affairs requirements.

Why Australia

A regulated system with real workplace learning built in

Australia is a strong destination for Malaysian and Asian students, particularly for vocational and applied qualifications where Work-Based Learning is part of the course.

Regulated

Providers must be registered, and courses for international students must be approved — there is a public register you can check.

Applied learning

Many vocational and diploma programs include structured, assessed workplace learning as a course requirement.

Worker protections

Students working or on placement are covered by Australian workplace law, including safety and fair-treatment obligations.

Proximity

Manageable travel from Malaysia and a large, established Malaysian and Southeast Asian student community.

The honest version of how student visas work

We cannot guarantee a visa. Nobody legitimately can.

Australian student visa applications are assessed against the Genuine Student (GS) requirement by the Department of Home Affairs. A case officer decides whether your application reflects a genuine intention to study. That decision is theirs alone.

AM EDU Resources helps you prepare a complete, accurate and truthful application that reflects your real circumstances and study intentions. We do not, and cannot, influence, expedite or guarantee any visa decision — and no employee or agent of AM EDU Resources is permitted to suggest otherwise.

If any agent anywhere guarantees you a visa, permanent residency or post-study work rights, treat it as a warning sign and walk away.

What we do

  • Explain the current requirements and what evidence supports them
  • Help you articulate your genuine study and career intentions clearly
  • Check your documents for completeness and internal consistency
  • Flag weaknesses in your application honestly, before you lodge
  • Point you to the official Department of Home Affairs source for every requirement

What we refuse to do

  • Guarantee visa approval, work rights or permanent residency
  • Coach you to misrepresent your intentions or circumstances
  • Produce or arrange falsified financial statements or academic records
  • Offer any payment to an official to influence an outcome
  • Enrol you in a course we don’t believe you intend to complete

The process

From first conversation to first class

Timings vary by provider, intake and visa processing. We give you a realistic expectation at the start, not a best case.

1

Free consultation and eligibility check

We review your academic background, English proficiency, budget and career goals, then tell you honestly which pathways are realistic.

2

Course and provider selection

We shortlist registered providers and approved courses that match your profile, with the total cost of study set out in writing.

3

Application and document preparation

Academic transcripts, English test results, identity documents and financial evidence — assembled, checked for consistency and submitted.

4

Offer letter and acceptance

We go through your offer conditions with you line by line before you accept, including refund terms and any conditions you must still satisfy.

5

Student visa application

Confirmation of enrolment, health insurance, and a complete, truthful visa application prepared against current Department of Home Affairs requirements.

6

Pre-departure and arrival

Orientation briefing, accommodation guidance, travel and arrival planning, and ongoing contact once you land.

Budgeting

What you need to budget for

We give you a full written cost breakdown for your specific program before you commit. This is the checklist of what that breakdown covers.

Cost item

What drives it

Tuition fees

Varies significantly by provider and qualification level

Living costs

The Department of Home Affairs publishes a minimum figure for visa purposes, and it is periodically increased

Accommodation

Depends on city, share vs studio, and distance from campus

Overseas Student Health Cover

Mandatory for the full duration of your visa

Visa application charge

Set by the Australian Government and subject to change

Flights and initial setup

Airfare, bond, basics on arrival

AM EDU Resources service fee

Disclosed in writing before you engage us — no unofficial charges at any stage

We do not publish fixed figures here, because they change by provider, by city and by year, and an out-of-date number is worse than none. Before you commit we give you a written cost breakdown for your specific program and city, with the source and the date for every figure so you can verify it independently. Currency movements between MYR and AUD will affect your real cost.

Working while studying

Work rights, and where WBL fits

Australian student visas carry work conditions, including limits on how many hours you may work while your course is in session. Those conditions are set by the Australian Government, change from time to time, and are your legal responsibility to follow.

We brief you on the current conditions during pre-departure orientation and point you to the official source. Breaching your work conditions can put your visa at risk, so we take this seriously.

Work-Based Learning is different. WBL is structured, assessed learning that forms part of your qualification — not casual employment. It is arranged through your provider with agreed learning outcomes and supervision recorded in writing.

FAQ

Questions students actually ask

Can you guarantee my student visa?

No. Student visa decisions are made solely by the Australian Department of Home Affairs, assessed against the Genuine Student requirement and the other criteria for your visa subclass. No agent, consultant or institution can guarantee, expedite or influence that decision.

What we can do is make sure your application is complete, accurate, internally consistent and properly evidenced — which is the only legitimate way to improve your prospects. Our Compliance Code prohibits any representative from guaranteeing visa outcomes.

Will studying in Australia lead to permanent residency?

Studying in Australia is not a migration pathway, and we will not present it as one. Post-study work rights and permanent residency are separate processes with their own criteria, set by the Australian Government and subject to change at any time — including while you are studying.

If your primary goal is migration rather than study, you should speak to a registered migration agent, not an education consultancy. We are happy to tell you that plainly rather than sell you a course.

How much can I work while studying?

Australian student visas include work-hour conditions that apply while your course is in session, and these have changed several times in recent years. Because the current limit is set by the Australian Government and can be revised, we brief you on the rule that applies at the time you travel and direct you to the official Department of Home Affairs page to verify it.

Work-Based Learning hours that form part of your course are treated differently from casual employment. We will explain how both apply to your specific program.

How do you work out what my study will cost?

We do not publish fixed figures, because they change by provider, by city and by year. The Department of Home Affairs publishes a minimum funds figure for student visa purposes, and it is periodically increased. Actual living costs also vary substantially between cities and between share housing and independent accommodation.

Before you commit to anything, we give you a written cost breakdown for your specific program and city, with the source and date for each figure so you can verify it independently.

What happens if my visa or application is refused?

We go through the refusal reasons with you and explain your realistic options, which may include addressing the specific concern raised, applying to a different provider or level, or accepting that the pathway isn’t viable right now.

Refund entitlements depend on the provider’s published refund policy and the stage your application reached — we go through those terms with you before you accept an offer, not after a refusal. Our own fee treatment in a refusal scenario is set out in your written fee schedule.

Do I have to pay any fees upfront?

You will receive a written schedule of all fees payable — ours and the institution’s — before you engage us or commit to a program. Nothing is charged that isn’t on that schedule.

We never request unofficial payments, “facilitation” fees or cash payments outside our documented fee structure. If anyone representing AM EDU Resources asks you for a payment that isn’t on your written schedule, report it to compliance@ameduresources.com.my.
